Raisin and fruit cake - Fanuropita

  • ½ kg self rising flour
  • 1½ cups sugar
  • 1 cup olive oil 
  • 1 cup fresh orange juice
  • ½ cup raisins (dark and light)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon 
  • ½ cup walnuts
  • 1/3 cup brandy
  • Confectioner’s sugar to top and sesame seeds
Preparation: 10 min
Cooking time: 50 min


  1. Add all ingredients in a bowl, except for nuts and raisins.
  2. Mix well and add nuts and raisins. Keep mixing.
  3. Add to greased baking pan and bake for 50 min at 180°C (preheated oven) until golden brown.
  4. Let cool and sprinkle confectioner’s sugar and lightly toasted sesame seeds
